Mirth & Myrrh is a cocktail catering company specializing in classic craft cocktails for events. The owner wanted a logo design that felt like an established brand that had been around for decades. After consulting with local craft cocktail bartenders and doing independent research I came up with an apothecary woodcut style design for the brand.

Mirth means “amusement expressed in laughter” and myrrh is a resin from tree bark that is used in medicines as well as a flavoring agent in cocktails. The medicinal history of the myrrh plant is what led me to the apothecary theme. The plants featured at the base of the coupe glass are myrrh flowers and leaves.
